Covers you for treatment in Malta and the UK
The following is a summary of the Benefits payable under your Private Medical Insurance Policy.

The charges for any such treatment received must be reasonable and customary.

In-patient and Daycare Treatment Amount of cover for each Beneficiary 
1. Hospital charges i.e., charges for in-patient or daycare treatment made by a hospital, including charges for accommodation, diagnostic procedures, operating theatre charges, nursing care, drugs and dressings, and surgical appliances used by the specialist during surgery. Paid in full when treatment is received in Malta or in the United Kingdom.
2.  Surgeons' and anaesthetists' charges. This includes pre- and post-operative anaesthetists whilst in-patient or daycare patient. Paid in full when treatment is received in Malta or in the United Kingdom.
3.  Physicians' charges for in-patient and daycare treatment. This includes intensive care. Paid in full when treatment is received in Malta or in the United Kingdom.
4.  Consultations, diagnostic procedures and physiotherapy. Paid in full when treatment is received in Malta or in the United Kingdom.
5.  Parent accommodation charges for one parent staying with a child beneficiary. This is paid from the child's benefit. Paid in full when child beneficiary is under 12 years old.
6.  Cash benefit for treatment received completely free of charge for up to 35 nights a year. 34.94 (Lm 15) per night.
Other Treatment
7.  Out-patient surgical procedures Paid in full (see note 1 below)
8.  Radiotherapy, chemotherapy and computerised tomography including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (brain and body scanning) received as an in-patient, daycare patient or out-patient. Paid in full
9.  Ambulance transport 186.35Up to  (Lm 80) each year. (See note 2 below).
10.  Funeral expenses Up to 349.41 (Lm150) per beneficiary limited to € 698.81 (Lm 300) per policy per year.
Out-patient Treatment
11.  Specialist charges for consultations. Overall limit for benefits 11 and 12 is € 698.81 (Lm 300) each year. (See note 3 below).
12.  Diagnostic procedures and physiotherapy received as an out-patient, including out-patient diagnostic procedures or physiotherapy even if they are related to in-patient or daycare treatment.
13.  Nursing-at-home when arranged by a specialist out of medical necessity for a beneficiary who needs a registered nurse immediately following in-patient or daycare treatment. Up to 873.52 (Lm 375) each year.
Additional Benefits
14.  Hotel Accommodation in the United Kingdom. Up to 116.47 (Lm 50) each night. (See note 4 below).
NOTES:
1.  We will pay the surgeons' and anaesthetists charges and the appropriate hospital charges
2.  This is to pay for a road ambulance for emergency transport to or between hospitals, or when the specialist says it is medically essential.
3.  We do not pay for out-patient drugs or dressings, surgical or dental appliances, spectacles, contact lenses or hearing aids.
4.  This is to pay for hotel accommodation in the United Kingdom for the duration of each course of treatment in radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and oncology received as an out-patient.
